Before Jordan leaves for class, he checks on his Beta fish, Mark. Two years ago, Jordan spontaneously stole the fish from a friend after it wasn’t fed in weeks, took it home and has cared for it ever since. He treats Mark like someone would treat their dog; Beta fish usually live their lives in small fish bowls, but Jordan has devoted an entire kingdom for Mark.
